Terms of Service for Commissions
Last Updated: August 29, 2025
Thank you for your interest in my art! Commissions are a collaborative process, and my joy and commitment are to create a final painting that we can both be proud of.
I enjoy working with a wide range of themes and am always interested in creative, compelling briefs. Feel free to inquire with your specific idea. These terms are here to ensure our collaboration is smooth, clear, and fair for both of us.
By commissioning me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms below.
Note: The following terms are designed for private and indie commissions. For stablished studios and companies seeking B2B commissions, terms will be customized and discussed on a per-project basis to align with the specific needs, budgeting, and scope.
1. The Commission Process

1. Inquiry & Quote: To start, please fill out the commission form on my website with your ideas. For complex pieces, a detailed brief helps me provide you with the most accurate quote. I'll review your request and get back to you with a final price.

2. Agreement & Payment: Once we agree on the details, I'll send you an invoice. Full upfront payment is required to secure your spot and for work to begin.
3. Draft & Revisions: I'll create an initial draft/sketches for your approval, which you can expect within the first 3 weeks. Your commission includes up to 3 revisions during the drafting phase, along with minor changes after an update, provided they don't significantly increase complexity.

4. Completion & Delivery: Once the artwork is complete, I will deliver the final, high-resolution file to you via a secure link. For traditional (oil or acrylic paintings), we will discuss and arrange appropriate shipping.
2. Payment Details

-
All prices and fees are in USD.
-
I accept payments via PayPal, International Wire Transfer, and USDT/USDC stables.
-
The prices listed on the Commission form are general estimates. The final price for your commission may vary based on the complexity of your brief.
-
The client is responsible for all payment transfer fees by payment processors. You can find all the fees listed at the Commission form.
-
For large-scale projects, a payment plan can be requested. If you are commissioning a high-value piece or require commercial rights, I am able to draft an agreement that aligns with your specific needs.

3. Revisions & Feedback

The best time for changes is during the initial drafting phase. For standard commission formats (portrait, half-body, etc), your commission includes up to 3 reasonable revisions at this stage.
-
Once we agree to proceed with a draft, major changes to approved stages (like a completely different pose) that additionally increase the complexity of the painting beyond what was initially agreed upon will require an additional fee, as this is considered new work.
-
Minor adjustments are fine, but please make sure you're happy with the draft and be clear and concise with your feedback.
-
For all commission formats, the terms listed above apply. The only exception is for sketch commissions, which will be delivered as a final piece. If needed, small changes can be requested.
4. Your Rights & Usage of the Artwork

This part is important for protecting both you as the client and me as the artist.
-
What You Get (Personal Use): All commissions are for personal, non-commercial use only, unless we have a separate commercial agreement. This means you are welcome to:
-
Display the artwork in your home.
-
Use it online for your personal social media and other online activities (with credit).
-
Print it for your own personal enjoyment.
-
-
What I retain (The copyright): As the artist, I retain all intellectual property rights for the artwork. This means I have the right to:
-
Display commissioned art in my portfolio, website and social media. (If you require the piece to be kept private, a privacy fee can be added).
-
Create and sell prints or merchandise of the artwork. (If you are interested in exclusive rights, this can be arranged through a separate commercial contract)
-
-
What You Cannot Do (Commercial Use): You may not reproduce, sell, or use the artwork for any commercial purpose (merchandise, branding, marketing, NFTs) without a separate commercial license and fee.
-
About Commercial licensing: Prices for commercial licensing vary based on the type of license you require, such as exclusive, non-exclusive, or specific usage rights for print, marketing, or merchandise. The fee listed on the Commission form is a general estimate, and the final quote will reflect your specific licensing needs.
-
A note on AI: You may not use the commissioned artwork for any AI-related purposes, including training AI models or generating new AI content. I retain the right to refuse commission requests that involve AI-generated images as part of the process, nor will I use AI tools to generate or modify any artwork during the commission process.
-
Physical Artwork Ownership: You own the original piece when purchased.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

-
Client Cancellation: If you cancel before work starts, you are eligible for a refund, minus transaction fees. Payment is non-refundable for commissions that have been already started or completed.
-
Artist Cancellation: In the rare event that I have to cancel a commission; a refund will be issued based on the amount of work completed.

6. Timeline & Delivery of Final Artwork
To ensure fairness, I work through my commission queue in the order that payments are confirmed. Please note that the timelines provided for personal (non-commercial) commissions are good-faith estimates, as my schedule is also balanced with commercial client work.
-
Turnaround Time: The average wait time is 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece and my current queue. You can expect to see initial draft/s within the first 3 weeks.
-
Deadlines: If you have a specific deadline, a rush fee will be required (3-7 days completion time).
-
Digital Files: Final paintings are delivered as high-resolution files (minimum 7000px wide) via a Google Drive link to your email. Please remember to download and back up your files, as the link will be active for 90 days.
-
Physical Artworks: Shipped via EMS or DHL/FedEx Global. Shipping costs are added to the final invoice.
I pack very carefully; however, I do recommend covering artwork Insurance for the transport as I am not responsible for any damage.
